Trick-or-Treat in the Garden, October 23, 2026 Dress up your little ghosts, goblins, and garden creatures and join us for a Halloween adventure through the garden! Follow the trick-or-treat trail to discover the spookier side of nature, stopping along the way to learn fascinating facts about plants and collect nature-based treats and surprises. Along the route, visit interactive Discovery Tables and get an up-close look at some of nature’s most misunderstood creatures. Meet hissing cockroaches, spiders, snakes, earthworms, explore bones and skulls, and more as Arboretum Educators reveal why these creepy creatures are actually far more fa-boo-lous than frightening! Each family will receive a Trick-or-Treat Trail Map to guide your adventure, and each registered child will receive a bag for collecting their treats along the way. Costumes are encouraged! Event Details: -This is a family-friendly, self-guided trick-or-treat experience through the garden. -Each family will receive a map of the trick-or-treat route. -Each registered child will receive a bag for collecting treats. -Treats are not traditional Halloween candy. Each child will receive one edible treat along with nature-based surprises. -Discovery Tables featuring live animals, natural specimens, and other hands-on activities will be located throughout the route. -Guests are required to bring flashlights. -Wear comfortable walking shoes and bring layers for cooler evening temperatures. -Strollers and wagons are welcome. Tickets Children: $16 Adult Non-members: $18 Adult Members: Free according to membership level allowance (registration still required)
